Question How do I wash a leather gucci handbags?
I have a brand new gucci handbags and I want to clean it before I use it. What's the best way to go about doing this, without damaging the handbags. The leather of the wallet is not glossy, but more on the dull side, and is soft to the touch. That being said, I don't know what type of leather it is. The handbags also has polyurethane foam in its construction. Would a cloth + warm water and soap work?

Best Answer A new handbag should not need cleaning but it is crucial to use a protector which will guard it against soiling and stains from such things as clothing etc. This will also make it easier to keep clean and prolong the life of the leather. Softer leathers are often aniline style that will absorb moisture which means that if they are not protected they will absorb spillages and stains easily and will be very difficult to deal with if not protected. Please do not put it in the washer as this could destroy the bag. Cleaners should be water based and not obtain waxes, oils or silicones which could damage the leather.
